Right after unveiling the iPhone 6 by Apple Inc., Samsung has taken the wraps off the Note 4. Both the giants have been at the centre of the mobile phone industry wars so to speak and continue to do so now.

Design and Display

The iPhone 6 is known to be the slimmest iPhone, made so far by Apple Inc., and it comes in two variants: iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. These phones are crafted with smooth edges to improvise their handling and elegance. If we talk about the size of the iPhone 6, then it comes with a screen size of 4.7 inches, wherein iPhone 6 Plus has a little wider screen of 5.5 inches letting you enjoy high definition pictures and videos at a resolution of 1080 x 1920. On the other the hand, the Note 4 delights you with a 5.7 inches screen and gives you a video resolution of 1440 x 2560. The iPhone 6 Plus, though has a dimension of 158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1 mm in comparison with the Note 4’s 153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5 mm, which is not a huge difference.

Processor, Memory and OS

Apple’s iPhone 6 is powered with a high-end super quick, A8 processor, which includes 2 billion transistors to accelerate your computing tasks by a cool 25 percent, as compared to ordinary computing. Though Apple has not divulged the RAM information yet, but there is something good in store for sure. The iPhone 6 runs on the iOS 8 operating system, which promises to deliver a wide range of intuitive features including HomeKit, advanced Siri, TouchId, HealthKit, better mail navigation and much more. On the other hand, Samsung’s Note 4 is also packed with the latest Snapdragon 805 chip-set and a Quardcore processor with a clock speed of 2.7GHz. This processor is very neatly designed for multitasking. Its 3GB RAM ensures that the user experiences a hassle-free performance on high-end games as well as heavy applications. The Note 4 works on an Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system, and comes with a TouchWiz interface built for better speed.

Camera, Storage and Battery

iPhone 6’s combination of 8 MP primary and 1.2 MP of secondary camera will never let you down. Its not just the resolution but the quality of images that Apple produces is very decent, as always.

As far as the resolution goes, Samsung scores more here. The Note 4 is loaded with a 16 MP rear and 3.7 MP of front camera that are coupled with sensors to deliver top-notch picture quality. Its 3,220 mAh battery promises to provide you with a better backup than its predecessors.

The battery life of the iPhone 6 on the other hand is expected to give a talk time of 24 hours. Apple facilitates the user to pick various storage options including 16GB, 64GB or 128GB as per requirement. The Note 4 has an on-board memory of 32 GB, which is expandable upto 128 GB.

Although both the upcoming phones are pretty exciting, the price and the operating system could be the key deciding factors here.
