Google has posted details of its first TV advertisement in the US for its NEXUS 4 smartphone, which is being shown in the commercial breaks during the Grammy Awards telecast. The advertisement clearly emphasize on Google Now, showing that the service is Google’s main objective for mobile.

Google also showcased Christmas-themed NEXUS 4 camera’s ad in December last year but that went down quietly. The details of this new Advertisement were disclosed by Vic Gundotra, the company’s social network development head – is the Google’s very first big US ad-vert for the Nexus 4, and their focus is quite interesting.

Instead of emphazing on the device built by LG, the ad-vert focuses on the features of Google Now, displaying number of examples showing how it can be used all over the world. It has been shown in the 60 secounds video that Google Now can be used to perform various functions like video chatting through hangout, translation while on the move, planning a trip and locating a restaurant/hotel.

Apple Inc has promoted its service ‘Siri’ (for iPhone) quite heavily a long ago in the US through showcasing their ads with famous personalities like Zooey Deschanel. Samuel L. Jackson and John Malkovich. Here is a proof that Google is also promoting its top smartphone and Google Now in a same way which Apple adopted for its services. Google Now will be coming to Google Chrome as well in few months.

Google and LG Electronics are said to have shipped 1 million Nexus 4 smartphone since its launch but the exact figure is yet to be confirmed, due to the low supply issues, the device has been facing distraction in the sales.

At the end of January, Nexus 4 was made available in the stock for the customers in Spain, UK and France, following with the increase supply for Australian and the US customers.
